The setup download contains L2ArcanisSetup.exe inside a ZIP archive. Extract the installer, run it, and the launcher will download the complete game client.

System requirements

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), about 12 GB of free disk space, and a stable connection for the first install.

Installation

  1. Create an L2 Arcanis account on this site once registration opens.
  2. Download the setup package above.
  3. Extract L2ArcanisSetup.exe from the downloaded ZIP (the installer is delivered inside a ZIP so browsers accept the download).
  4. Run L2ArcanisSetup.exe and choose where to install L2 Arcanis.
  5. Complete the installer and open the launcher: it downloads and verifies the complete game client automatically.
  6. Future launches use the L2 Arcanis desktop shortcut, and updates are handled automatically.

L2 Arcanis offers six regional entries to the same world - pick the one closest to you in the in-game server list for the lowest latency.

Our installer is not yet code-signed, so your browser and Windows may each warn you once. That is expected for now; the warnings go away once code signing is in place.

  • If Chrome asks whether to keep the downloaded file, choose Keep.
  • The first time you run the installer, Windows shows a caution screen for software from a publisher it has not seen before: click "More info", then "Run anyway", and continue installing normally. You will see this only on the first run.

If you want to check your download, compare its SHA-256 hash against the value shown above (in PowerShell: Get-FileHash L2ArcanisSetup.zip). A matching hash confirms the file arrived intact, byte for byte as we published it. It is an integrity check, not a signature - the expected values are published in the same place as the download itself. The launcher likewise verifies its own updates by hash before applying them.

Published checksums (SHA256SUMS.txt) lists the SHA-256 of both the downloaded ZIP archive and the L2ArcanisSetup.exe inside it.

Troubleshooting

  • A stopped download resumes where it left off; the launcher re-verifies every file.
  • Use UPDATE in the launcher to re-scan and repair the installation at any time.
  • If the launcher itself is out of date, it updates and restarts automatically.
